Omicron variant of Covid 19 – vaccination program

We are now approaching 1 year since the first patient was vaccinated as part of the National programme (8.12.20) and in that time general practice has done the impossible: vaccinating millions of patients and giving us the best chance of getting through the pandemic, whilst continuing to service and enhance our day-to-day work.

The latest recommendations from JCVI represent a significant expansion in Covid Vaccination programme. These changes are:
• To offer boosters for all adults (i.e., includes 18–39-year-olds)
• The booster gap reduced from 6 months to 3 months post second dose
• 2nd doses for 12–15-year-olds
• Immunocompromised individuals should be offered a 4th booster no sooner than 3 months after the 3rd dose another dose after 3 months

Please note that this is not yet available.

We’ll update this page once the service is updated. Please wait to be contacted by the NHS.

COVID booster vaccinations are available now, to anyone over 50 or in an at risk group, at Midlands House in Derby, together with many other locations around the area. To book please visit the NHS website or call 119,  if you are already eligible for your booster or you are yet to start your vaccines.
