We are having a lot of enquiries from patients regarding if they are on the 12 week shielding group. If you have not had a letter or text from the hospital by now, you are not in this group of people. However, there is still work being done by hospitals, NHSE and ourselves. If we get any notifications over the next week of anyone missed, we will be in touch with you. If in doubt follow the advice of shielding if you think you are in the group.
If you are in the group of patients that are being advised to shield yourself for the next twelve weeks, you can get help from the government, and again, you should have heard by text or letter that you are in this group.
Please click through to the site ⇒ Extremely Vulnerable
this will enable you to register for help with medicines and delivery and food.
If you have not received a shielding letter but believe you are in the Extremely Vulnerable group please register, using the Extremely Vulnerable site so you information can be collated centrally. Work is continuing to identify the Vulnerable patients and letters will be sent out centrally if appropriate. Letters are being co ordinated by NHS England we are unable to issue them from the Practice.
Again, if you are unsure what to do, please go to the following website: ⇒ Guidance on Shielding
If you are in the at risk groups as opposed to the extremely vulnerable group, then please read the following:
