Routine Blood Tests from your GP

If you have been asked to have a routine blood test you must now book online through Swiftqueue.

You can book your online appointment at Phlebotomy (Blood Tests) | University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS (uhdb.nhs.uk) Or go directly on the Swiftqueue website: Online Appointment Healthcare Platform | Swiftqueue

Please note that for a routine test you will not be seen if you attend without an appointment.

When you book, please ensure you have received an email from Swiftqueue as confirmation of your booking.

You do not have to have your test at your nearest clinic, you may find that your waiting time is reduced if you are flexible as to where you have your test.

Please find link below that provides guidance on booking a test:

How Do I Book My Blood Test Appointment? – Swiftqueue Help Centre (UK) (zendesk.com)

Urgent Blood Tests Required within 48 hours

If your Blood Test is urgent i.e. within 48 hours, then we do have daily walk-in slots available at Babington Hospital, Coleman Street Health Centre, Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and St Oswalds.   This means you can attend and be seen on the day.  The advice is to come early, you may be required to wait.

Important: These are for urgent bloods only and if this is not specified by your GP you will be asked to book via Swiftqueue.

No access to the Internet

We understand that not everyone has internet access.    If you do not have internet access then you are able to attend Babbington Hospital, Coleman Street Health Centre, Florence Nightingale Community Hospital or St Oswalds and you will be seen as a walk-in appointment.    These appointments are only for people who cannot access the internet, if we suspect abuse of this system then we will ask you to book an appointment. The advice is to come early, you may be required to wait.
